I’m a husband. I’m a father. I’m a hunter. I’m a teacher. And I’m a disciple of Jesus Christ. I met my wife on the first day of high school (which may have involved an ice-cream bet). I grew up in Manti, graduated from Springville High School, and served a mission in Guatemala (1994-96). I was later married in the Manti Temple. To know my wife is to know the celestial kingdom! I attended Snow College and BYU earning a degree in social work. I later earned a master’s degree in education. We have four children (three of which attend UVU). I have loved being a seminary teacher for over 20 years. My wife and I had the joy of presiding over the California Long Beach Mission as mission leaders along with our four young children (2016-19). I have always loved missionary work. I continue to mentor new mission presidents and co-host the Preach My Gospel Podcast with Brother Dixon (Season 1 for the preparing missionary and Season 2 for the returned missionary). We eat too much ice-cream, too much meat, and not enough vegetables. It is a good life! I look forward to seeing you in Mission Prep, the Parables of Jesus, or in the halls of the institute.
